Welcome to leedstalent thanks for logging on.
Firstly I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Gemma Smith, I am 25 years old, I live in the leeds 6 area and have done for the last 6 years. I am the founder and chairperson of the site. It has taken 6 months to get to where we are now as there is so much to learn and find out but this is just the begining of somthing really worthwhile.
Leedstalent.co.uk is set up as a community group -non for profit organisation. I have set up this site for people to help and support each other through music. There is so much talent in Leeds, people dont appreciate each other so thats where the Violence starts.
The aim of this project is to understand and come together to help one another as the saying goes its not what you know its who you know. The difference between your usual events/promotion is every man out for themselves but Leedstalent is about respect,good postive attitude and support of local leeds people.
This is only a basic website at the moment but there will be lots of links info on music shows events and contacts very soon.
The aim of leedstalent is to put the profits from events etc back in to regeneration. there will be a viewing page where you can logg on and view the page to see whats in the bank. Any ideas will be acknowledeged into where we can spend the money. The priority will go to disadvantaged area across leeds to see how we can help make it a nicer place to live.
